# Side-Hit and Back Arch Text on 112 Hats | Custom 112 Hats

Add a side-hit logo or arched back text to custom Richardson 112 hats. Second-location embroidery by Battle Born Clothing, quoted per job on top of the front.

A side hit is a small embroidered logo on the left or right side panel of the cap. A back arch is text curved across the back panels above the snapback opening. Both are second locations added to a front-panel patch or embroidery order. Battle Born Clothing quotes them per job.

## Side-hit embroidery

The side panel on a 112 is narrow and curved. Keep side hits under about 2 in wide and 1 in tall, one or two thread colors, no fine detail. Common uses: a secondary brand mark, a union local number, a sponsor logo, an American flag, a year. Standard placement is the wearer's left side. ## Back arch text

Back arch text curves across the two back panels above the snapback. On a mesh-back 112 we stitch through the mesh onto backing, which works for block text about 0.4 in tall and up. On the twill-back 312 the back is solid fabric and takes finer text. Typical content: company name, city, phone number, website, crew name.

Second locations are quoted per job and added to the per-cap price from the [pricing page](/pricing/). Each new side or back design is digitized once at $18.99. A front patch plus a side hit is a common combination for crews.

**Can I do a side hit on both sides?** Yes. Each side is its own location and is quoted separately.
